They don't like each other

I have Norton Systemworks 2004 / Antivirus 2004, and when I have the Enhanced Dialog installed, I can no longer open any of my Office documents. As soon as I try to open a file in Office, they send the file to NAV to do a virus scan and never returns. The application (Excel, Word, or PowerPoint) just lockes up. I have to go my process viewer to close it down.

Also, when Enhanced Dialog is installed, Iwhen I right-click on a file in Windows Explorer and select "Scan with Norton Antivirus", I get an hour glass for a few seconds and it goes away. If I look at the Process list in Task Manager, the NAVW32.EXE process still shows. If I repeat the step, I get another NAVW32.EXE process, etc. I have to close those within the Process Manager as well.

If I uninstall Enhanced Dialog, everything goes back to normal. Office Apps work fine and I can scan a file/dir from within Windows Explorer.

Try turning off the Office plugin within Norton an that should do the trick. (and by the way, I think Symantecs products suck).
